Attempting Track
Alright- so last night I went to our weekly Phidippedies Track workout and attempted to run…yeap key word- attempted. I knew my quads were sore as going down stairs has been quite challenging- but I was litterally unable to run last night! I tried- I’d take a few jogs and everytime my foot hit the ground I would groan….Must have sounded pretty funny- sure didn’t feel funny.
So-while everyone was running a 2 Mile Time Trail- I was walking around the outside of the track. My coach gave me a walking drill of lifting my knees with each step. Said this would help to train my legs to do this when I run- as I tend to shuffle
Today my quads are less sore- FINALLY!
I’m gearing up to do a 100 mile Bike ride on Saturday. I will be joining 500 others for the BUENA VISTA BIKE FEST. It should be a hoot! Just fun and food the whole way. This will be my first 100 mile bike ride ever! What a week for firsts eh???
